2012 Grammy Awards: Fashion Trends On The Red Carpet

There were so many gorgeous men and women walking the red carpet at the 2012 Grammy awards! Whether they were dressed in long gowns or short hemlines, hair up or down, they all looked fabulous. However, there were a few trends that stood out!

Trend #1: High Necklines
Maybe it’s the cooler weather in Los Angeles or maybe it is just time for a new look but high necklines on the women were all the rage this year! The women rocking this trend let their beauty speak for themselves by not showing too much skin and instead showing off their curves, which I love! Adele, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood and Kimberly Perry all followed this trend looking fabulous I might add!

Trend #2: No Big Jewels
The ladies of the night allowed themselves to shine without that extra sparkle. Many women did not wear that much jewelry on the red carpet, except for their ears, which were of course adorned with thousands of dollars worth of diamonds and such. I kind of liked that their arms, wrists, and necks weren’t decked out in jewels because it really did allow the audience to focus on their dresses!

Trend #3: Gold or Light Colored Outfits
Typically the Grammys bring out a lot of the darker colors, like black, but this year there was more colors drifting down the red carpet. Whether it was the gold hues that stars wore or the sparkle of light colored dresses it was refreshing to see something different. Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, Kate Beckinsale and Paris Hilton all showed up in gold hues!

Trend #4: Hair Updos or Long Locks
With the higher necklines of dresses, it meant the hairstyles also had to change a little, meaning they went up! Singers all around were going for a sleeked back look or low, pulled back bun with many looks, which I love! Those who did not wear the high neckline seemed to opt for leaving their luscious locks down, which ultimately did look good with their dress style!

I liked the new trends that this year’s Grammys brought! Did you?
Love,
